This route is 8.08 km
This flower walk starts and ends at Museum De Zwarte Tulp / VVV Lisse, Heereweg 219 Lisse.
During the flower walk you walk, mainly on paved paths, along the flowering bulb fields, the Keukenhof forest and the Keukenhof estate. In the spring, you will see the daffodils (February/March), the hyacinths (March/April) and the tulips (April/early May) in bloom in the fields and with a bit of luck, all of them at the same time.
The flowering bulb fields have an enormous attraction to visitors from all over the world. If you find yourself on the edge of such a brightly coloured sea of flowers, you are tempted to stand among them for a while. However, we strongly urge you not to walk into the fields. The flowers and bulbs are easily damaged. Plant diseases and pests are also spread unnoticed. And that means considerable losses for the growers. So take your best flower photo or selfie at the edge of the field!
At junction 21, you can take a break from the route (in the direction of junction 56) to visit De Tulperij. In the nostalgic greenhouse, you can have a drink, visit the show garden and pick tulips.
Want to see even more flowers? Then visit the most beautiful spring garden in the world, Keukenhof!
