Various cycling and walking routes start here. Top Lisse is situated at the old station of Lisse, where Restaurant het Tussenstation is now located.
What is a TOP
A TOP stands for "Toeristische Overstap Punt" (Tourist Transfer Point). A 'junction' where various signposted and unmarked cycle and hiking routes converge. A TOP is easily accessible by car and has sufficient parking space. In the vicinity of the TOP, there are often cafés and restaurants where you can have a cup of coffee and where you can charge electric bicycles. In some cases, the TOP is also a cyclist's café with extra services for the cycling holidaymaker. In addition to catering facilities, a number of regions (province of Utrecht) also have Rest Points at private property where you can have a drink. With all these facilities, a TOP is always a good starting point for anyone who enjoys walking and cycling.
What can I do there?
From this specially equipped location, you can cycle or walk along various signposted routes. At the Tourist Transfer Points, there are information panels with a map of the area and information about places of interest in the vicinity of the routes. This makes it easy for you to discover the most beautiful places in the region. At least two (signposted) routes leave from every TOP. In addition, from some TOPs you can also explore the area from the water, for example with a canoe or sloop.
