In the old days, when the roads were still in a bad condition, the notary used this salon boat to visit the farmers in the polders. The boat was built in 1908 and was completely renovated in 2000. Almost everything is in its original state, only the engine had to be renewed.

The foot ferry departs from Koudenhoorn and sails to the Zwanburgerpolder. At the end of the walk along the Boezemkade, the foot ferry picks you up and drops you off at De Tengnagel where you can continue the Zwanburgerroute. You can also get off at the other side of 't Joppe on the peninsula Tengnagel, near the Leidse Merenwijk. If you want to leave from there, please call us. The foot ferry runs on request.

Something to celebrate? It is also possible to organise a sailing trip on the Kaag with De heere Schouten. This is only possible on dayparts outside the regular sailing schedule. The trip takes about three hours and can be filled in as you wish. Bring your own snacks and drinks on board and sail for example over De Leede and along the Jeneverboom, around Kaageiland and over 't Joppe. Or make a short stop at one of the establishments on the Kagerplassen.
